Curtis L. Fitzjarrald, 53, Marion, passed away at 7:18 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Marion Health. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, June 5, 1969, to Orville L. Fitzjarrald and Bonnie J. (Peterson) Dunlap.
Curtis graduated from Marion High School and worked at Papa John's, where he delivered pizza. He was a member of American Roller Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE). He enjoyed cave exploration, as well as riding roller coasters.
Survivors include his sister, Stacey (Fitzjarrald) McKee (Ron Mowery, Jr.) of Marion; aunt, Patricia (late John) Dishmon; step-father, James E. Dunlap of Marion; step-mother, Leota Fitzjarrald; step-brothers, Shawn Williamson, Jesse Dunlap, Charles Dunlap, and Joshua (Carly) Coats; and step-sister, Pam (Kenneth) Miller.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie J. Dunlap; father, Orville L Fitzjarrald; and uncle, John Dishmon.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Curtis' life will begin at 6:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.
The family would like to thank all the nurses at Marion General Hospital for their loving and attentive care to Curtis.
