Jo Blocker Obituary
Jo Beth Blocker, age 79 of Marion passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Jo Beth was born on April 14, 1942 in Petroleum, Indiana the daughter of the late Russell and Hulda (Brewster) Blocker.
Jo Beth was a caregiver and pet groomer for many years. She formerly attended Friends Church and Cowboy Church at Grace Community Church. Jo Beth always put others first before herself.
She is survived by a brother, David Blocker of Marion; a sister, Melanie Adkins of Gas City; and nieces and nephews, Susan Highland of Plainfield, Illinois, Jon Phelps of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Laura Lucier of Romeoville, Illinois, Valerie George of Sandwich, Illinois, Jeremy Blocker of Romeoville, Illinois, Joshua Blocker of Chicago, Illinois and Nathan Adkins of Marion.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Diane Phelps and a nephew, Jason Adkins.
As per Jo Beth's wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
