John M. Diskey, age 69 of Fairmount passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
He was born July 21, 1952 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Marion and Mary (Graham) Diskey. He married Mary (Hillyer) Horn on February 14, 1998, and she survives. He worked at General Cable (Essex) for 21 years until his retirement.
He was a very giving person and donated to several charity organizations including, St. Jude's Hospital and several animal rescue organizations. John was very proud of his family and never met a stranger. He would literally give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Diskey of Fairmount; a son, Roger (Sarah) Diskey of Monroe, Ohio; daughters, April (Dalia) Diskey of Troy Ohio, Brittney (Michelle) Diskey of Gainsville, Florida, Jennifer (Brad) Plank of Marion and Brooke (Raymond) Mullen of Noblesville; 7 grandchildren, Alyahs Diskey, Darius Diskey, Zikiah Diskey, Malayah Diskey, Aryss Diskey, Zaryn Diskey, and Cameron Mullen; one great-granddaughter, Ada; and his dog, Ranger.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Diskey.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at Noon.
Burial will follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made to Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
