Steven Smelser Obituary
Steven Michael Smelser, 73, of Upland, passed away at 8:49 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1948, to Robert and Helen Smelser.
Steven was a retired telephone computer specialist and switch technician for Sprint and Bell Telephone. He loved to cook, tell stories, and laugh.
He is survived by his mother, Helen S. Stephens of Marion; sister, Thereasa "Terry" (Daniel) Skarus of Mountain Home, AR; step-sister, Shelley Stephens of Marion; step-brother, Danny Stephens of FL; and niece, Heather Batman of Mesa, AZ.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Robert Smelser; brother, Bradley Smelser; and step-father, James T. Stephens.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
