Ernest W. "Ernie" Fowler

Ernest (Ernie) W. Fowler, after a long battle of cancer, age 90, died on June 15th, 2023, at home under Hospice care. Ernie and his beloved wife Darla, lived in Terra Vista, FL, for the last twelve years, after moving from California.

Ernest Fowler is survived by his loving wife Darla Marie Fowler; three children: Lori Bogal, Dana Boyce and Michael Fowler. He also leaves behind five grandchildren.

Ernest was a distinguished veteran of the Korean War. He was an active member of the First Christian Church of Inverness, FL, and enjoyed leading Bible studies. He and his wife Darla are Travel Agents for Travel Authority, taking many trips around the world and also including bus trips.

Ernie was a gentle soul that will be remembered by his great faith, loyalty, kindness and love for his wife, family and friends.

Ernie's memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, with special music, refreshments and fellowship at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church of Inverness, FL, 2018 Colonnade Street, Inverness (behind the Race Trac gas station on Hwy 44). On the same day, for those who wish to attend at 2 PM, Ernie will be laid to rest with full military honors, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Maps will be provided at the church service. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
