Pat was a good friend and classmate who I remember every year on the anniversary of her death. Pat has been in heaven for 11 years with God, Jesus and those in her family who have passed.

I'll always remember the lesson you taught my in grammer - never put a comma after 'and' or 'but'. You were such a dear and all of us on the Editorial staff of HixNews have our work cut out for us. You did so many wonderful things for you 'Baby'. Blessings to your family.

My sympathy and prayers go out to Liz, Casey, Cathy, Jennifer, and their families. Your mom was a great woman! I have many fond memories from my childhood of her especially since I was always at your house in Severna Park! I remember having pierogies for the first time, I remember your mom making me my first long dress for a dance, I remember spending vacations at her home in Florida, I remember that she loved yellow roses, and that she treated me like another daughter. She truly will be missed! Love and strength to all of you.

It's Friday and I think I miss Mom the most on Fridays because that's the day of the week that we spoke on the phone to one another the most often. She wanted me to get into the 21st century and get on the computer and E-mail her. It sure is sad to have your 70 year old mother telling you to get with the program. Shouldn't it of been the other way around? My E-mail address is [email protected] . Mom is probably thinking " I hope nobody E-mails her with any type of message that needs an immediate answer because that won't be happening ." She again would be right. It was a sad occasion to have to be in Florida to watch my mother take her last breaths on this earth, but I'm so glad I was there. I know she appreciated it too. It was therapeutic for me to spend time with Cathy, Jen and Aunt Cookie. We cried alittle, laughed alittle and reminisced alot.Girl Power, I guess. Mom, you will live on in not only my memories but in all the people you've touched in your life. You know, for someone who didn't travel much, you sure kept in touch with alot of people via wireless. Thank You for being my Mom. I Love You! Your Lizzie bits!

Miss Pat,
You taught me many lessons by the path you walked in life. You taught me that wrong doesn't always know it's wrong until you use your voice and that people will only take as much advantage of me as I let them. "You gotta be smart." I can still hear you say. I know I gave you just as many gray hairs as Jen did when we were young; I thank and honor you for your patience with me, your encouragement of me, and your respect for me. It's because of you that I learned to start standing up for myself. It's because of you I found my voice to say no. It's because of you that I learned that family and respect are important. Thank you Miss Pat. May the peace of God reign over your family and may they rest knowing you are in the arms of the Lord.

We miss Pat a lot and know full well it won't be easy to do all the things she did for our alumni and for us, her fellow editors. We dedicate subsequent issues of the Hicksville High School Newsletter to Pat.

Words cannot express how much I'm going to miss my little scooter buddy.Pat was always a person with unique gifts that she was willing to share with whomever crossed her path. She was so intelligent but could let her hair down and we would have totally silly times together.Discussing, laughing, argueing,Pat always said exactly what she thought. She was a true friend to me and I hope she knew that I was to her.Pat's family are a credit to her. They are a close and loving family and I know she was proud of each of them. To Liz,Cathy,Laurie,Jen and Cookie, the girls I know best, and all the family ,thank you for letting me share you all.Ilove you very much and I share your loss with you. Pat my little friend ,rest in peace, see you someday again.

Your Mom was one of the strongest people in spirit that I ever met for being such a tiny petiette little woman. I know she is at peace in a much better place where there is no pain and happiness and love forever. She will be with you always watching over everyone as Moms do. God bless her and you and your family and try to keep your happy memories of her in your thoughts. With Love and support to you all, Karen
