Robert Birkholz Obituary

Robert Birkholz, 85, died July 17, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL after a lengthy illness.

Robert was born on July 6, 1937 in Mason City, IA to Lester and Gertrude Birkholz. He married Barbara Beery on June 29, 1958, who preceded Bob in death.

He is survived by his younger brother, Richard in Mason City, IA, 2 sons, Mark and his wife Nancy in Mason City, IA. Jay in Colorado Springs, CO. He has 3 grandsons, Jordan and his wife Laura in Colorado Springs, CO, Logan in Des Moines, IA, and Dane and his wife Nicole in Mason City, IA and 4 great grandchildren, Luke and Alex in Colorado Springs, CO and Kayden and Kennedy in Mason City, IA.

Robert was a Free Mason from the time he was a young adult. He was active in the Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge, and 2 model airplane flying clubs. He was loved by many and his kind generous nature will missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 23 at 10:00AM at Fero Life Celebration Lodge, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. A Memorial and Burial will be in Mason City, IA at a later date.
