Ron Miller Obituary

Ron Miller, age 88, of Homosassa, FL, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Ron was born on February 13, 1937, in Emmaus, PA. Ron has been reunited in heaven with the love of his life, his Wife Joan Miller, who passed away in 2020.

Ron was a wonderful father and fantastic family man. He was also a champion of our environment and the Homosassa River. He was the President of the Citrus County Audubon Society, and a co-Founder and President of the Homosassa River Alliance. Ron worked on the Whooping Crane preservation project and cared deeply for birds, manatees, and all of the earth's creatures.

Ron's love of animals, and especially dogs, was a highlight in his life. Ron's darling Maltese-Poodle, Lily, continues to extend Ron's joy and cheerfulness to friends and family.

Ron also enjoyed RVing, boating, music, and the Florida Gators (Go Gators!).

Survived by two sons, David (Heidi) Miller and Douglas Miller; one brother, Richard Miller; three grandchildren, Jordan (Emily) Miller, Jared Miller and Bailey Miller; and three adorable great-grandchildren: Wesley, Emmett, and Rosie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Ron's memory to the Homosassa River Alliance, P.O. Box 124, Homosassa, FL 34448.
