Brent HAWKINS Obituary

HAWKINS Brent H. Devoted father of Kelsey Lynn Tucker-Hawkins. Beloved son of Grace J. (nee Cox) and the late Stanley Howard Hawkins. Dear brother of Jennifer L. Pennington (Jim Jr.). Uncle of Jayna Pennington. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Bobbie and Pat Ford, John and Stef Cox, by his cousins John Cox, Chris and Craig Hochscheid and other cousins, by his Godmother Betty Holtkamp and by his best friend Bob Holtkamp. Wednesday, August 20, 2003. Age 38. Resident of Miami Heights. 1982 Valedictorian Taylor High School; 1987 gold star, dean's list, summa cum laude grad The Citadel (Military College of the South); Who's Who among students in American Colleges and Universities 1987; 1991 grad UC law school; admitted to the bar in SC in 1991 and to the OH bar in 1995; Visitation Friday 6-8 P.M. at the Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami, Cleves. Dorchester Lodge #369 F&AM (Charleston, SC) service courtesy of North Bend Lodge #346 F&AM, Friday, 8P.M. followed immediately by the funeral blessing. Memorials may be directed to Vitas Hospice, 11500 N. Lake Dr., Suite 400, Cincinnati, OH 45249.

I was a very good friend of Brent and we worked together when he first started practicing in Charleston. He was a great man and deserved only the best. I was heartbroken to heat he passed away at such a young age. I wish his children the best as they had a great father. He is sincerely missed here in Charleston.
