Mom,
I cannot believe I am writing on here. I am having a really hard time even finding words right now. It has been one of the most painful weeks of my life, other than when dad passed. It goes without saying that I am so glad you are not suffering anymore because it broke our hearts to witness that and feel helpless to do anything about it. At the end all we could do was embrace waiting for you to let go, but knew that God would meet your needs. If there is meaning in life, then there must be meaning in suffering. I truly believe yours for the past two years was to make the huge impact on many lives that you did. I never would have wished for that but many many people are better for having met you. The apple does not fall far when it comes to the ability to talk....look at this!!! I will always cherish that night I had with you before you let go. It gives me great comfort as we prepare to say goodbye. You told me you felt weak for giving up, but I looked at it as being strong enough to let go. You weathered the storm long enough. You left a permanent footprint on hundreds of lives. Always remember what I told you the "God promises a safe landing, but not always a calm passage." I know he will honor my wish list for you when we had our time. I need to remind him though to leave you alone from 1p-2p Monday-Friday. Talk to us anytime. We will hear you. Love you and walk the beach every day with Dad. See you later.
