beloved husband of the late Theresa "Terry" Kort, loving father of Christine (Greg) Osbourne, Ellen (Bryan) Kelley and the late David (Bonnie-living) Kort, grandfather of Andrew, Anna, Jarred, Emily, Alex and Elena, brother of Habib (Mary) Kort and Luba (Raymond ) Kort, brother-in-law of the late Connie (Jerry) Carter, uncle of Dimitri and Danny Kort, Gina Evans and Renee Anderson. Passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at age 80. Visitation Friday, January 22, 2021, 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. Funeral Mass to follow 11 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church. www.vittstermeranderson.com

My deepest condolences to the the family of George. I am so saddened to learn of his passing earlier this year.
My sister and I became huge fans of his work years ago, after meeting him in Oxford at an art show in the park. Once I got my husband into George's shop, at one of the Christmas open houses, he, too became a fan. Between my sister and myself, we and our families have many pieces of George's .artistry.
I lost both my husband and sister just over a year ago. I have 2 friends who have supported and listened to me from afar during this time, and I have been thinking of a gift to get to send each of them. It occurred to me a small piece of George's work would be a perfect gift, since we all love(d) it so much. And my internet search is how I ended here.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Just know that George is bringing smiles to many you don't know, through the work he left behind.

Met George when he worked at Souder’s Sohio on Warsaw at Elberon, early 60’s. Always a Super guy. I bought his Hot Rod 55 Chevy. John Yorgovan and I had dinner with George and Terry not long before Terry passed. God bless both of them, they are together again.

George was a one-of-a-kind. It will be a long time before someone like him comes around again. I will always remember the times I spent with him in the last 23 years. He was a visionary and a dreamer who always was pursuing a goal. I will miss him as many others will too. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP George!

We are so sorry to hear about Mr. Kort's passing. He has been one of our favorite Infusion patients for the past couple of years. He was always so pleasant and sweet and always a pleasure to take care of. Ellen and the rest of the family that would bring him in for treatment were so attentive to him and nice to us at Infusion Center. They were more like family. We are all grieving and will all miss him very much. We didn't get a chance to Thank him for his Christmas presents he gave us. He is with God now and we will continue to think of him often and pray for comfort for Ellen and family.
