Joseph ZINS Obituary

ZINS . Joseph E., dear husband of Charlene Ponti, loving father of Lauren, Michael and Ryan, son of Mildred and the late Julian Zins, brother of John, Thomas, Jim, Robert and Mary Zins Sandor, son-in-law of Margaret and the late Charles Ponti, brother-in-law of John Ponti, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Suddenly, Wednesday, March 1, 2006, age 56. No visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Monica-St. George Church, 328 W. McMillan, Clifton Heights, Saturday, March 11, at 1 P.M. Joe was a Professor in the Special Education Department in the College of Education at the University of Cincinnati. Memorials to honor Joseph Zins may be made to Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors earmarked for CASEL FUND (Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning), Attention Christopher Page, 437 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10022. These funds will support efforts to advance school-based programs to support children's social and emotional develo pment. Hodapp Funeral Home, College Hill, serving the family.

Stem cell transplant in Aug. from 18/19 yr. old England or Denmark. Looks promising. 12 - 15 yrs. if all goes well in Aug. Possibility death/small. Call if you want. Always close to Joe growing up St. MM, RB, Xavier. Best man in 72 wedding( Ended in 1980 Dec. ) Been married since 1994. Dan.
