I just wanted to take a moment to say I love you and miss you. Thank you for being an incredible stepdad to me and raising me as your own for 17 years. Both KB and I are following in your footsteps and serving our country just as you did and we hope that we've made you proud. There is not a day that we don't miss and think about you each day. And we know that you are always with us.

Hi Dad. Sorry for being late to the party but I never was good with time. Even though it's been 13 years since you've been gone, you are still loved and missed. Mom reminded me that when I was a little girl, I asked God for a Dad, and he sent me you. And I will always be grateful for that. Thank you for teaching me kindness, encouraging my imagination, how to forgive, and how to love and be loved unconditionally. And even in our last few conversations, that regardless of what happened, I will always be your daughter and you will always be my dad. And that will never change. Ever. I want you to know that I'm still doing very well in the Navy and KB has grown up and is now following in your footsteps. He is so much like you and Nana. Lol I guess it's a Pisces thing. I know that you're up in heaven watching over us and I also know that we'll see each other again one day when it's time. So, this isn't goodbye. More like see you later.

Love always,
Denesha
