Leo McGough

Batavia - Leo J. McGough, born April 11, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA passed away on April 17, 2018 in Cincinnati, OH. Proceeded in death by his parents, Francis Joseph and Marie Inez (Rhodes). Leo is survived by his wife of 48 years, Roberta E. McGough (Rudkin) and their daughters, Letitia Carwell; husband James, grandchildren Thomas, Christian, Shannon and Brianne Carwell and daughter Regina McGough. His brothers, Henry, Francis and Gerard; his sisters Barbara McElhaney and Francine Felton. His sister Inez Brown precedes him in death. Leo is also survived by his children Gary, Leo Jr., James and Donna Shore.

Leo was raised in Philadelphia and Cape May, NJ. An Army veteran he served in Japan and Korea. A certified welder, he owned Leo's Welding and Erin Welding in VA. After retirement, he resided in Colonial Beach, VA. Leo was a District Deputy Grandmaster, 32nd Degree Mason of the Masonic Lodges of Colonial Beach and Montross, and formerly of Woodbridge, VA. Leo was a hunter, fisherman and enjoyed roller-skating. He was a skilled tradesman who could build and fix most anything, although if he couldn't fix it he believed a bigger hammer would get the job done. Burial services will be a private ceremony in, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
