Leonard Bonomini Obituary

Bonomini

Leonard J. (Len) Bonomini R.A. lost his valiant fight with cancer on January 4, 2018 in his home with his loving wife holding his hand. Len co-founded KBA Architects, Inc. in 1991 with one partner, and was President Emeritus of the firm. He loved his work and all of the challenges that accompanied it. Len loved fast cars, collecting clocks, and was a fabulous cook, best known for his grilling. His laughter, kindness, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Survived by his adoring wife Debbie Slabach, Beloved brother of Tony (Paula) Bonomini. Son-in-law of Mark and Ruthie Horner. Brother-in-law of Millie (Dave) Dill. Cherished uncle to Anthony (Jessica) Bonomini, Michael Bonomini, Paul Dill, and Jessica (Doug Gassner). Dear great-uncle to Max and Vin Gassner. Loved nephew of Ginny Bonomini. Also survived by many loving cousins and friends. Visitation will be Sunday January 7 from 4PM-8PM at Hay Funeral Home and Cremation Center 7312 Beechmont Avenue 45230. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday January 8 at 10:30AM at St. Veronica Catholic Church 4473 Mt Carmel Tobasco Rd 45244.

Deb, So sorry for your loss. I feel blessed to have know Len. As a neighbor, one of the best.
Len and my dad courageously battled this terrible disease at the same time. When my father passed, Len was the first to call.

Not meaning to appear flippant, but here's my story: I worked in the Plant Personnel Office at the 3rd Street office of Cincinnati Bell waaaay back in 1969 (migrated worked from Indiana at age 21). :)
One of the workers in the group was a Mr. Bonomini. I remember being amazed that that NAME can be typed using JUST the right hand. SURELY you all realized it, too? :)
And then, of course, the Bononmini Bakery in Northside. :)
