Robert B. "Rob," 62, Apr. 1, 2016, Green Township. Devoted father of Julie E. Schoenlaub (John) & Bradley R. Heinlein (Brigette), loving grandfather of John Robert Schoenlaub & Jade Isabella Schoenlaub, beloved son of Elenora Huelsman Heinlein & the late Robert Jack Heinlein & dear brother of Keith (Kathi), Kent (Renee), Randy & Rick Heinlein. Also survived by the mother of his children, Patti Heinlein, nieces & nephews. Rob was a retired Cincinnati Police Officer. Visitation Thurs., Apr. 7, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM at St. John's Westminster Union Church, 1085 Neeb Rd., Delhi Township. FOP service at 12:15 PM followed by Cincinnati Lafayette Lodge #483 F&AM, Scottish Rite Ring Service & the funeral service at 12:30 PM. Interment in St. John's Cemetery. I am very sorry to hear about the passing of a man that helped me through the toughest time of my life. He was a rock & pillar of hope for me during my testimony that locked up a child Rapist many years ago. If not for him, I wouldn't have been able to be brave enough! He truly was a great, kind & conpassionate human being! Thank you detective Heinlein for everything you did for all victims you served! And thank you to his family who shared this wonderful man with the community. Rip sir.

As Rob is a old friend of mine, I have not seen him in many years. But when I did see him when we all got together, the only thing I remember are good times and a lot of laughter. He was one of a kind. I wish his entire family prayers and peace during this difficult time. Rest in peace Rob. Thanks for the good times. John Goebel
