Vernon DUNCAN Obituary
Vernon Robert, Devoted Husband of the late Betty Jane Duncan, Beloved Father of Deborah Duncan, Michelle Finn, Gregory (Shaunda) Duncan and the late Douglas Duncan, Loving Grandfather of Megan (Joey) Taylor, Tyler (Ashley) Finn, Trevor Duncan, and Marshal Duncan, Great Grandfather of Jenna Taylor, Carter Finn, and Camden Finn, Loving Step Grandfather of Meranda Hobbs and Cody Hobbs, Loving Step Great Grandfather of Rebecca Walker and Mason Walker. He retired from GE, after 36 years of service, as an Electrical Control Design Engineer. Mr. Duncan was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran. He worked with the Army Corp of Engineers to develop the Boone County Knothole complex on Camp Ernest Rd. He was the Assistant Supervisor for Boone County Knothole and was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Knothole Association Hall of Fame. Mr. Duncan was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Senior Golf League at Devou Park. A Visitation will be held Thursday March 10, 2011 11am until 1pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center Erlanger with a service immediately following the visitation at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials can be sent to Parish Kitchen P.O. Box 1234 Covington, KY 41012 or St. Elizabeth Hospice 483 South Loop Rd. Edgewood, KY 41017.
