"In the end we will conserve only what we love.
We will love only what we understand.
We will understand only what we are taught.”

"Centuries from now it will not matter about the house we lived in or how much money we made in a lifetime...
But the world may be better because we helped some of the Great Spirit's little animals on this earth during our time here."

Charlie...

These are two quotes that are appropriate for your life. You were the Number One Animal Educator in our mountains and I'll miss you,my friend.

Charlie's passing is indeed a sad thing and I want to extend my sympathy to his family. Charlie was always there over the years anytime I needed help or advice concerning turtles and other reptiles. His educational efforts and presence in the Ashevillle community and beyond has been a major influence on many people both young and old. I'm sure he has inspired many people with his life-long dedication to the animal kingdom.

You lived. You laughed. You loved. You brought many things to many people in your life. I could only aspire to be half the man you were. I still tell people about Helga's starring role in the Ninja Turtles II movie.
