Meeker Jr.

Fletcher - Charles R. Meeker, Jr., 54, of Fletcher, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December, 22, 2015, at his residence in Fletcher, NC after a courageous battle with cancer.

Charlie attended Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH, and graduated from Shoreham-Wading River H.S. in Shoreham, NY in 1980. He began his college career at Georgia Tech, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1986. He was an avid gardener, loved animals, star gazing, music - especially The Grateful Dead, enjoyed watching sports, and tracking weather and severe storms.

He is survived by his three children, Terra Morgan (20), Sebastian Meeker (13), and Savannah Meeker (10). He is also survived by his mother, Anne B. Meeker, his sisters Meighan Meeker and Kathryn Meeker Wamboldt, along with his brother-in-law Robert Wamboldt, and his Ex-Wife, Sharon Cory Meeker.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. At least he suffers no more and his kids seem to be adjusted. May he live on in us all, through our love of nature, music and art.
