Genette Morrow

Asheville - Genette Mildred Buchanan Morrow, 88, of 1921 Old Haywood Road, went to be with her Lord Friday, January 8, 2016.

Mrs. Morrow was a native of Jackson County where she was a 1945 Graduate of Sylva Webster High School. She had resided most of her life in Buncombe County, was formerly employed with American Enka Corp. and was a member of Acton United Methodist Church where she formerly served as Church Secretary and was active in the United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Morrow was the daughter of the late Verlin Ora and Laura Cloer Buchanan and the wife of Jack Dewey Morrow who died July 16, 1984. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan Baughn and husband Kenneth of Asheville; son: Jerry Morrow and wife Donna of Asheville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Rennie Salata officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
