Michael Christenson Obituary

Michael Carroll Christenson

Michael Carroll Christenson began his life as the son of an Iowa farmer. Bringing in corn and soybeans and raising cows in 4H. But as the song says, "How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm?"

And so Michael, an ever curious young man, set out on a lifetime of adventure. He became a teacher and coach, a scientist, a dentist, an artist, a world traveler, and a constant scholar.

Michael was proud to be a father of two boys and grandfather to three girls. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Judy. And a good man.

On January 17th, Michael left this world from his North Carolina home overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was sunny that day.

Dr. Michael Christenson. Born of the soil, having lived a life of legends, has returned thusly. He is missed beyond compare

I'm so sorry for the families loss.
I worked with Mike at the VAMC in Asheville. No was quite the guy and a wonderful person. He was able to easily relate to the veterans patients with his humor and professionalism as a Dentist. He is missed.

Mike was a great friend! We rode many miles and smiles together on our motorcycles. He will be truly missed.
