Edith Sack

Edith E. (Glotzbach) Sack St. Marys Edith E. (Glotzbach) Sack, 92, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her home in St. Marys. She was born July 8, 1924 at Paxico the daughter of Isedor and Otillia Meinhardt Glotzbach. Edith graduated from Paxico High School. She had lived in the St. Marys community 70 years. Mrs. Sack had worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, Pottawatomie-Wabaunsee Regional Library and was a secretary at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was a member. On June 12, 1945 she was united in marriage to Lorain Burly Sack at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Del Rio, TX. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and her daughter, Jean Clark on January 18, 2015. Survivors include three sons, James (Beverly) Sack, Palmyra, NE, Don (Marlene) Sack, St. Marys and Paul (Becky) Sack, Scranton; two daughters, Marcia Cook and Jane (Randy) Kincaid all of St. Marys; son-in-law, Marvin Clark, Emmett; brother, Dennis (Ruby) Glotzbach, Topeka; sister, JoAnn Miller, Topeka; sister-in-law, Betty Sack, Emporia; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 6, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mrs. Sack will lie in state from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the church where there will be a rosary recited at 5:00 P.M.
