James Soendker Obituary
James attended Topeka West High School, Kaw Valley Vo Tech and Tulsa Community College. He was a drafting engineer with Holly Oil and Gas Corp in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed hiking, backpacking, and road trips on his motorcycle. His biggest passion was watching his son Kory play football and baseball.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Jim Cook, Ken Sr. and Annabeth Harrington. He married Kristi Westfall in 1999 and later divorced. He is survived by his son Kory Soendker, parents Don and Cathy Soendker, his father Ken Harrington, grandmother Mary Joan Cook, brothers Pat Soendker (April) and Jeff Soendker (Bree), nieces and nephews Trevor, Lexie, Trista, Eastyn, and Ensley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial will be held on April 10th at 2pm at the Lake Shawnee Event Center, 3025 SE Croco Rd. Topeka, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The James Soendker Memorial Fund for Kory's education in care of Corefirst Bank and Trust and/or The Franklin County Cancer Foundation, 215 S. Main St, Ottawa, KS, 66067.

So many high school memories. Your heart was genuine and your laugh contagious. I wish we had stayed in touch more over the years. Glad I got to see you and meet your son a little over a year ago. Seeing of your passing broke my heart. You will be missed. Love you my friend

I miss my friend greatly. A day has not gone by you have not been in my thoughts. The laughs we had, the adventures we took, the hours of talking, debating and ribbing one another are great memories of a great guy.
Just Friends was our team name, but when we needed each other to lean on vent to or tell tales to we knew, best friends fit us best.
