Joshua Harris Obituary

BURLINGAME ~ Joshua D. Harris, 20, Wakarusa, left his earthly home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. Joshua was a computer technician and sales associate for Office Max at Topeka. He was born March 4, 1983, at Ottawa, the son of Robert Lee and Vonna Rae Blecha Harris Jr. He attended grade school in Osage City and Christian Heights School in Fort Scott. He received certification as a computer repair technician, and was working toward his GED. He moved to Wakarusa from Fort Scott in May 2003. Mr. Harris was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fort Scott, and he attended South Knollwood Baptist Church in Topeka. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Vonna and Larry Arnold, Wakarusa; his father and stepmother, Robert and Christina Harris Jr., Centrahoma, Okla.; a brother and sister: Kenneth and Rebecca Arnold, Wakarusa; four brothers, Richard, Cameron, Dusty and Huston Harris, Centrahoma, Okla.; grandparents, Kenneth and Phyllis Blecha, Osage City, and Lee and Joe Reed, Wellsville, Lloyd and Mary Kay Arnold, Wakarusa, and Larry and Glenda Stevicks, Fort Scott; great-grandparents, Kenneth and Florence Stuver, and Clarice Arnold, all of Topeka; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Osage City Baptist Temple. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday at Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame. The casket will remain closed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joshua D. Harris Memorial Fund established at Commerce Bank and Trust, 3035 S.W. Topeka Blvd., Topeka, 66611, or any other Commerce location.

My husband and I got to know Josh through Larry and Glenda Stevic. My nephew JT will miss him alot. They loved to fish together and play video games together. Josh was an great young man and we will miss him dearly. Our prayers are with his family. The lord has a very special young man at home with him.
