Year after year, around this time I find myself reading through these kind words from so many of Kevin's friends. The sorrow never fades. My Dad was bmmy best friend and I know he was loved by many. And I am grateful for those who took the time to share a meaningful post here. When I originally signed this guestbook I did so from a place of utter grief. I was 15 and in a dark place. Today at the age of 33 I still shed a tear knowing that my Dad will never get the chance to see the man I have become, I often wonder if he truly is watching over us from some place of ultimate peace.
I am truly sorrow for your loss Tory, and I am sorry for the way in which I handled the pain of the loss of our Father.
Thank you all for the kind words about Kevin. I know we all share the pain of the loss of this awesome guy. There is noone else like him.

It is the 17th of August and I just heard about Kevin's passing. Kevin was a great guy. We grew up together, but we matured apart. He will be missed. I just want to express my condolences to his children and all those that loved him.

Dear Tori and Kevin's Family,
We are so sorry at your loss! It was a joy to have Kevin as my neighbor when we pastored there for four years. I have very fond memories of visiting with him. Kevin was a wonderful person, always thinking of others and Tori and his family meant the world to him. I counted him as not only a neighbor but a friend. Arianna and Brianna send their love to Tori. My prayers and love go out to your family!

I went to school with Kevin and have many happy and funny memories of him. He always had a way of making people smile. No matter when you crossed paths with Kevin he smiled back at you and made the effort to say "HI"...He is in GODS hands now and no longer suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with your family

Kevin was a wonderful friend and an all around nice person to everyone. I will never forget some of the fun times that "The Gang" had at "The Tree"!! I am sad to hear of Kevin leaving his earthly home but knowing that he is no longer in pain is a blessing. I can almost bet that Kevin & Yogi are having a Great time together in Heaven!! My thoughts & prayers are with his children & his family. God Bless!!

We were truly shocked & saddened by the news of Kevin's passing. Kevin was a "true" friend to us. The times we shared are forever etched in our memory. His laugh was contagious. We will miss his smile and his good humor. We take comfort in knowing that he is with his parents in heaven, smiling down on us. Kevin, you will never be forgotten!!!

The loss of Kevin is a loss for everyone and for those who never had a chance to meet him. He was one of the kindest, friendliest people I can think of and valued his friendship immensely. Some of the fondest and funniest memories of my life are working at Gage North and bowling and playing softball with Kevin. He made everyones lives better through his generosity and easy smile.

Just thinking of you and your mom and wanted you to know your dad was great to talk to especially during basketball season. It will be hard not seeing him around the gym. May God keep you and remind you of His promises to be with you and of a joyful reunion with your dad in heaven some day.

Dear Anita and Phil,
I dont know that we ever met. But I am Shelly's sister, Datha. I couldnt believe the news when I heard it. Kevin will be missed. We all had a lot of good times together and sorry I couldnt be at the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

What a sad day it was when I received word of my long time friend of 19 years passing...I know that he is no longer suffering and is watching all of us as we speak...I can hear him saying, "Aprilllllll..a!"..(inside joke)...the memories will keep me strong through this process and you, Kevin, will remain a true friend in my heart!

I'm so sorry to hear of your families loss. I worked with Kevin at Adams. I remember how excited Kevin would be when the kids were coming to spend lunch w/ him. Kevin would do anything for anyone, and would give the shirt off his back. I'm honored to be able to call Kevin my friend. Phil and Anita and family of Kevin,
I just saw Kevin at the Post Office and I thought about waiting and speaking to him. I did not. When ever I did run in to him over the years like at the races, he always remembered me and the rest of the Walters family and always seemed happy. I am very sorry for your loss. You know you were No.1 in his life. We should of stayed in touch more because we always had fun. I thought of you both quite often. Sorry to hear about kevin, I have been away from topeka for a long time, but still remember him well. we started hanging out in the summer of 1976. In fact he took me to my first concert. Ted Nugent at kemper in kansass city. Kevin impacted and helped to form my own sense of humor. Our close freindship did not last much longer than that summer, but we always saw each other around town, and the bolwling alley. What a cool dude.

Kevin's Family,
I give my deepest sympathy. I went to high school with Kevin at Topeka West. I saw him alot recently at Kwik Shop in Oakland. I never got to speak with him, just saw him. Had no idea he had been ill. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.
