I have been remembering your mother all morning. Your mom was such a special person, she came over to America not knowing the people, the culture, the language and all of a sudden she was alone with two little girls. I am sure that she spent some sleepless nights but she always did that in silence. Outside she was always happy, positive and supportive. In all of the years I do not recall one time that I saw your mom angry (except for the bee incident with you Jackie and mostly she was just plain frightened).
She cooked rabbit and kidneys and I always remember that as a special gift that she introduced and gave to us.
I remember a time when we all went to Sioux Falls and after the day was complete we were driving back to Lake Preston and I looked over and there sat Suzanne who looked like she did when we left hours prior. I on the other hand had dirty fingernails and my clothes and hair were a mess but not Suzanne, she sat with her hands crossed and looked as beautiful as when she started the day.
Her talents were many and she was so beautiful but the most memorable for me is her special laugh. I loved her laughter and I loved her. She has and will always have a special place in my heart as I say good-bye to my second mom.
After reviewing the pictures, I forgot how handsome your daddy was and now after all of these years they get to be a couple once again and rekindle their love forever.
