Virginia Davison 1925-2022 Virginia Davison, 96, of Clarinda, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at Azria Health, Clarinda, Iowa. Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Burch Cemetery, Braddyville, Iowa with Russ Clark officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Ritchie Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa. Burial will be in the Burch Cemetery, rural Braddyville, Iowa. Virginia Mae Davison was born November 8, 1925 near Siam, Iowa to Clarence L. Stewart and Lola M. (Fine) Stewart. She grew up in the New Market, Siam area and graduated from New Market High School in 1943. Virginia was united in marriage January 18, 1945 in Troy, Kansas to James Irvin Davison. They were blessed with three children, James Robert, Donald Alan and Billy Dean. Irvin served in the US Army during World War II and when he returned home after World War II they made their home on a farm near Braddyville, Iowa. Virginia received her teaching certificate after graduating from high school and taught in rural schools. During World War II, Virginia helped with the war effort making gun parts at a factory in Clarinda. After the war, she was a part of their farming operation and raised her family. Her family was her main focus and enjoyment. Virginia loved to cook and bake for her family. Virginia was a devoted church member of the United Methodist Church in Braddyville and later in the Presbyterian Church in College Springs. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Irvin Davison; grandson, Brent Alan Davison; great grandson, Kannon Chael Hughes. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Robert Davison and wife Linda of Farmington, Minnesota, Donald Alan Davison and wife Melissa of New Market, Iowa and Billy Dean Davison and wife Debbie of Waconia, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gary Davison and wife Phyllis of Braddyville, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and friends.
