Bill was asst band director when I was in high school and a great guy. His mentor, Dr Flowers, and he made music an important part of my life. Thank you, Dr Bufkin.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends, for the lost of their beloved Bill. I hope the promise at John 6:39 can bring real comfort. Knowing that there is hope for our lost love ones can be reassuring.

I was a student under Dr Bufkin, throughout Junior High School and through the 11th grade at RH Watkins. I cannot recall any single teacher, along my education journey who taught perfection, self discipline, and the benefits which can be achieved from hard work. He expected the most from his students, and accepted nothing less. I shall always be grateful for his impact upon so many of us who had the privilege of being one of his students.
