Elvie Bufkin Obituary
Graveside service celebrating the life of Elvie Ruth Bufkin, 95, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at Wallace Cemetery with Bro. Tommy McMellon officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield, Louisiana.
Elvie was born on April 18, 1930, in Kingston, Louisiana to James Thomas Adams and Susie DeSoto Adams Clanton and passed away October 7, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Elvie was an accomplished hunter, fisher and trapper with a terrific talent in gardening along with the love of sewing.
Elvie was preceded in death by husband, Plummer Bufkin, Jr.; her parents; daughter, Patsy McKinnon; and grandson, Joseph McKinnon.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Harvey Allen (Betty); daughter, Linda Cordova (Bobby); son-in-law, Chuck McKennon and Brandy McKennon, with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and beloved friends, Mary Francis and Shirley.
With dignity and respect, services are provided by Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana.
