Dear Ann, Becky and Polly,
I am praying for all of you and your families. I remember growing up with you in Jackson and Mrs. Earp teaching me in the 2nd grade at Watkins. Please let me know if you need anything day or night.

Ann, our hearts go out to your and your family at this time. We met you and Gene years ago when we moved into your neighborhood and you both helped us watch our children grow up and get out into the world. That world is truly a sadder place today with the loss of such a great man! We will always remember him.

Gene Earp and I became acquainted through his work as the LSU safety officer in 1986, when a fire did extensive damage to Peabody Hall. Gene endeared himself to many in the College of Education as a safety professional who showed the utmost respect and consideration for the personal losses suffered.
He will missed as a fine Christian man.

My years at ECJC were good ones, made so by knowing Gene Earp. It is good to know that he had such a successful life. My condolencies to you.
