Genevieve DeSimone Obituary
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Philomena (Mazullo) Valente. She is survived by two sons, David DeSimone and his wife, Karen (Laffey), of Charlestown and Dennis DeSimone of Cranston; three grandchildren, Erica Brodeur, Amanda LaMar and David DeSimone; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carlo Valente of East Providence. She was the sister of the late Jennie Malane, Mary, Peter, John, Paul and Emilio Valente.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, December 13 at 8:45 a.m. from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 128 High St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 or Home & Hospice Care of RI, South Team, 143 Main St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
