J. Knight Obituary

J. C. Knight, Sr.

Georgetown

J. C. Knight, Sr., 68, passed away June 18, 2011 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. Visitation will be 9am-11am Tuesday at Georgetown Pentecostal Church. Services will be 11am Tuesday at the church with burial in the Georgetown Cemetery.

Mr. Knight was a native of Gulfport but had lived all of his adult life in Georgetown where he hauled cattle and raised horses. He was an active member of Georgetown Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his brother, A. V. Spikes.

Survivors include: wife of 49 years, Ruth Knight; sons, J. C. "Junior." Knight, Jr. and James Holden Knight, both of Georgetown; daughters, Teresa Weaver and husband Casey of Grand Bay, AL and Hannah Ladner of Georgetown; brothers, Tommy Knight, Bruce Knight and Red Knight, all of Georgetown and David Carr of Brandon; sisters, Jean Hixon of Hazlehurst, Ester Lee Cliburn of Hazlehurst, Diane Cameron of Jackson and Mary Bates of Georgetown.
