Lona Williams Obituary

Lona Mae Allender Williams, formerly of Greenville, died October 13, 2010, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama from a brain trauma received in a fall on October 3.
She is preceded in death by her husband, E.D "Turk" Williams; her parents; brothers, Tommy N. Allender and Harry H. (Pete) Allender; sister, Anna Allender; and nephews, William E. Allender, Jr., and Harry Allender, Jr., all of West Virginia and Ada Jean Allender Faherty of Seaford, VA.
Survivors include two daughters, Lara Mason Johnson and husband, Art, of Greenville, Dana Williams Hinton and husband, Ron, of Mobile, AL; and special friends, Virginia and Willie Way of Greenville; grandson, Jody Johnson and wife, Jessica of Memphis, Jennifer Lynn Hinton Devadason and husband, Fred, of Ellsworth, KS; two other grandsons, Michael Way and wife, LeeArm of Greenville, and Tommy Way of Pensacola, FL; two great grandsons, Jared Houston Johnson, Burlington, KY and Jacob Andrew Johnson of Memphis; two great granddaughters, Samantha Grace Devadason and Briazma Way; and one brother, William F. Allender and wife, Shirley of Bridgeport, WV.
Service will be at Smith Funeral Home with burial in the Greenville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a,m. at Smith Funeral Home with Dr. Ronny Spivey of Second Baptist Church officiating.
Pallbearers will be Emery "Bucky" Loft, Brian Gallagher, Willie Way and her grandsons, Carl Joseph "Jody" Johnson, Fred Devadason and Michael Way.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, West Mobile Baptist Church, Food Distribution for the Needy Ministry, 7501 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608.
