Michael Alan McNally, 25, departed this earth on Thursday, June 23, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 2:00 at New Stage Theatre, 1100 Carlisle St. in Jackson. Michael was born in Jackson on September 10, 1990. He attended Casey Elementary, Power APAC, Chastain Middle School and Murrah High School and was part of the APAC academic, music, theater and dance programs while attending Jackson Public Schools. He also attended the Mississippi School of the Arts as a theater/ vocal major and graduated from the Education Center with honors. Michael was an accomplished actor and singer, performing in over 25 musicals and plays. He had starring roles in New Stage summer camp Jr. productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Music Man, Pirates of Penzance and Willie Wonka. He also starred in Les Miserables and Chicago at Actor's Playhouse and Once Upon A Mattress and Oklahoma at Black Rose Theater. He was also seen in the New Stage Theatre productions of

A Christmas Carol, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Twelfth Night as well as other productions at the School of the Arts, Power APAC, Center Stage Theater, N.W. Rankin High School, Richland Playhouse and Creator Theater in Clinton.

Michael was an avid musician who loved to sing and play the cello, guitar and bass guitar. He was known as a person of intelligence, depth and sensitivity who placed great value on his personal relationships. Michael was known for his big heart and the kindness he showed for all people and for his love of animals. He had many friends whom he helped and cared for in his brief life.

He is survived, dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his parents, Robert M. McNally and Ann E. McNally of Jackson and brothers Patrick McNally and Kevin McNally, both of Crestview, FL.; brother John McNally and sister Robin Callahan, both of Conn.; niece Alana McNally of FL.; grandmother Dorothy Scheppke of Ridgeland and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
