Frank Myers Obituary

Frank R. Myers, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on March 31, 2025, in Clarksville, Tennessee, at the age of 93. Born on May 5, 1931, in Goshen, New York, Frank led a life rich in experiences and contributions to his fellow man.

Frank was a self-employed gutter and roofing contractor. Having an exceptional mechanical and engineering mind aided in his work endeavors, but he was also capable of fixing practically anything. His hands-on approach to life was evident not only in his professional endeavors but also in his personal projects.

A passion for service was woven throughout Frank's life. He was proud of his time serving as both a Police Officer and a volunteer fireman for Raymond Hose Company #2 in Warwick, New York while a young man. Frank's commitment to helping others was paramount, and he embodied the spirit of community at every stage of his life.

Frank’s passions extended beyond his professional life; he had a deep love for Big Band 40's music, which brought him immense joy. His larger-than-life presence meant he never met a stranger, and his infectious laughter and joyful spirit have left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. At his core, Frank was a man with a warm heart and a vibrant personality. He was known for his humor and remarkable storytelling ability, often sharing tales from his childhood during the Depression era. These stories resonated deeply with his loved ones, offering insight into his character and resilience. Raised in Church and Sunday School, Frank nurtured a strong faith and a close relationship with Christ that remained steadfast throughout his life. He worshiped at Excell Baptist Church in Clarksville and found joy in watching Charles Stanley's weekly TV program.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Dorothy Matuszewski Myers, and his cherished daughter, Madeline Myers Haller. Frank also joins his parents, Randolph and Florence Galloway Myers, and his brothers, Lou and Andy Myers, who preceded him in death.

A visitation will take place on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Excell Baptist Church located in Clarksville, Tennessee. This will be followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Revs. Wally Vinson and Hunter Hanson will officiate.

Memorials may be made in Frank's memory to either the Good News Club or to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. Frank R. Myers will be remembered not only for his skills and service but also for his laughter, kindness, and zest for life. His legacy of perseverance and love for family will forever inspire those he leaves behind.
