Marie Schaeffer

Marie Yarbrough Schaeffer, age 97, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family in Clarksville, Tn on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the chapel of McReynolds Nave and Larson Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Bro. Willard Knipp officiating, burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. The Family will receive Friends at 10:00 am on Friday until the time of service.

Marie was born on November 11, 1927 to Herman Yarbrough and Grace Davis in Montgomery County, Tn. She later married William B. Schaeffer and worked for 20 years at Sears. She was a lifetime member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, member of DAR for 24 years, and she was a  member of the Yarbrough National Genealogical Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband William Bernard Schaeffer Jr., as well as her son Richard Schaeffer and daughter Sherry Schaeffer. She was also preceded in death by her siblings; Charles Yarbrough, Dorothy Sinks, and Helen Hollingsworth.

Marie leaves behind her dear daughters Corliss Schaeffer and Regina Anderson, as well as her grandchildren; Jason Schaeffer, Amanda Blain, Bethany Begnaud, and Melissa Voland. She also leaves her dear great-grandchildren; Sterling Begnaud, Cameron Bednaud, Brooklyn Begnaud, Abigail Blain, and Lincoln Blain.
