James Hall Obituary

James Dwight Hall, 82, of Warne, N.C. passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 surrounded by his family. James was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. James was a sheet metal worker for more than 50 years before retiring. He loved to garden, keep bees and spend time with his family. James also loved woodworking and lapidary work.
He was the son of the late William and Laura Hall. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Plylor; and one brother, Johnny Hall.
Surviving is his wife, of more than 48 years, Julie Hall; a daughter, Lisa Cable and husband, Tim, of Warne; sons, Jason Hall and wife, Rebecca, of Brasstown, Darrell Hall, of Atlanta, Ga., Frederick Allison and wife, Kimberly, of Hiawassee, Ga., Jeremy Allison and fiancé, Emilee, of Hayesville, Brian Allison and wife, Michell, of Melbourne, Fla.; sisters, Loretta Miller, of Warne, Charlotte Bradshaw and husband, Clemson, of Warne, Brenda Edwards and husband, Doug, of Stockbridge, Ga. and Sharon Monkus, of Warne; a brother, Carol Hall and wife, Maryann, of Zebulon, Ga.; also survived by 19 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Miles officiating.
