Steven N Jersey

Steven N. Jersey, 75, of Hayesville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.
He was born in Huntington, Ind. to the late Vernon D. and Evelyn Bippus Jersey. Steven graduated from the University of South Florida in 1971. After graduation he began to work for K-Mart. Steven retired from K-Mart after 33 years of service as a district manager. He loved sports including golf and softball. Steven enjoyed hiking and doing trail maintenance with the Mountain High Hikers. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Steve was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus which he loved. He enjoyed working with his hands and was always giving wood to others in need.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Forest Jersey; one son, Kyle Jersey, of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Stephanie Wannop (Stan), of Naples, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Sophia Wannop.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Granny's Attic, P.O. Box 1487, Hayesville, N.C. 28904 in memory of Steve Jersey.
