Leo Martin Fox

Leo Martin Fox, age 88 died peacefully on Sunday August 17. Beloved husband of 63 years to wife Alice who preceded him in death, treasured father of Michael (Catherine Leneghan), James (Sherri Gilleland) and Martin Fox. Devoted Grandfather of Madeline Greco (Matthew), Claire Herbert (Jack), Colleen, Sean (Lexi), Kevin (deceased) Fox. Loving great grandfather to Brady, Everett and Gunnar Fox, Alfonso and Leo Greco. Loved Uncle and great uncle of many. Survived by his cherished brother, John (Jean Tillman). Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Catherine, his sister Mary Alice Goebel (Robert deceased) his brothers Tom and Michael (Ireland). Leo was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving our nation with distinction aboard the carrier U.S.S. Tripoli (CVE-64). He enjoyed a long career as an Ohio Bell linesman often working through the night no matter the weather to keep vital phone lines up and running and people connected. Leo loved spending time with all his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews cheering them on in all their sports and academic pursuits. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. The family will receive friends at the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF WESTLAKE, 25620 CENTER RIDGE RD. (WEST OF COLUMBIA RD.) ON FRIDAY AUGUST 22, 2025, FROM 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday August 23 at 11:00 am at Saint Vincent DePaul Church, 13400 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44135.
