ROBERT JONES Obituary

ROBERT JONES LANCASTER - Robert J. Jones, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 5, 2023. He is survived by his children, Randy Jones, Steven Jones & wife Brie, and Christie (Sulkoski) Coleman & husband Kevin; three grandchildren, Ana and Lindsay Flores, and Morgan Coleman; and four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Cameron, Riley, and Evie. He leaves his companion Caroline Denio, extended family members William Clements and William Kingsbury, and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Stacie Cuglietta, granddaughter Casey Hays, and daughter-in-law Michelle Jones. Son of the late Robert J. Jones, Sr., and Barbara (Wheeler) Jones Bailey, Bob was raised in Bolton, attended local schools and was a graduate of Nashoba Regional High School, Class of 1963. In addition to his professional career in the construction, well drilling, and turf management fields, Jonesy embarked on a smorgasbord of entrepreneurial adventures, including, but not limited to gas station ownership, screen printing, and canoe sales. His legendary antics will forever live on in local lore through memories of drag racing his Dodge through the streets of Clinton and Lancaster and competing for championships in the POPs softball league. A talented marksman, Bob was a gun enthusiast and sport shooter, an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He had a lifelong love for Marilyn Monroe, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of feeding the birds, tending to his plants, and watching NASCAR. A man of great integrity, Bob was a devoted family man, a proud and loving father and grandfather. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 4 until 6:30PM with a celebration of life service to follow at 6:30PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. The burial will later be held privately in Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert J. Jones to: National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 465 Waverley Oaks Rd., Suite 202, Waltham, MA 02452 or American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Will remember you, as a man of few words.

Your great grand children will miss the raining quarters, you always tossed into the yard, during the Easter egg hunt.

Sorry, we didn't get to know each other, well, on this journey.
