Edna "Louise" Crumpler
FAYETTEVILLE — Surrounded by love, Edna "Louise" Crumpler, 89, was called home to be with her heavenly father, Jesus Christ on Friday, May 20, 2022 after a long battle with Dementia.
She was born Nov. 2, 1932. Edna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Charles Crumpler, Jr, her mother Mamie Maultsby, Father, Vernon Maultsby brothers, Renus and Harold Maultsby, sister, Shirley Beasley, granddaughter Candace Crumpler, as well as many other family members.
With a tax refund of $375, C & C Top Shop, Inc., was established in 1972 and with the hard work and dedication of Mr. and Mrs. C over the years, and now their son, Charles "Dinky" Crumpler, the business has grown into one of North Carolina's leading Aftermarket Restyling Shops. A faithful Christian, she was a member of Northside Pentecostal Church and loved leading children into Bible knowledge as their Sunday School Teacher. She loved gardening, sewing, and many days could be found baking biscuits for the boys at C & C top Shop, her extended family. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her - because to know her, was to love her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory - her daughters, Linda Poor and husband Joel Poor of Fayetteville; Carolyn Faircloth of Hope Mills; Charles Crumpler III and Sonja Crumpler of Fayetteville; five grandchildren: Allen Raynor, Denise (Crickett) Cimaglia Brewer, Deanna Honeycutt Fulcher and husband Louis, Danny (DJ) Honeycutt, Charles Crumpler IV; eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
While she will be dearly missed, her family is overjoyed by the knowledge that she is now with her heavenly father and her beloved husband, Charlie (Mr. "C"). Her life was a blessing, and her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville with Pastor Charles Crumpler, III officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:45 am; Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Cape Fear Valley Hospice, 2301 Robeson St, Suite 202, Fayetteville, NC 28305 or Northside Pentecostal Church 5000 Arbor Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311.
The family would like to thank those who have offered their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. A special thanks to Cape Fear Valley Hospice and the around the clock caregivers who so lovingly took care of our mom, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
