Justin L. Royal, 29
DUNN — Mr. Justin Lee Royal, 29, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. He was born Sept. 15, 1984 in Wake County. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Coleman Royal, Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Royal; his mother and step father, Mary Honeycutt and Tommy Honeycutt of Dunn; one brother, Gene Royal, Jr. and wife Sherry of Dunn; one sister, Jeanna Ott and husband Jason of Okinawa, Japan; one stepbrother, Timothy Honeycutt and wife Amy of Dunn; and one stepsister, Kelly Boyette and husband Robbie of Clinton.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Nik. I have been thinking over the last few days of what I would even begin to say to you at this point. There are no words that can ease your pain, no encouragement that can make your steps easier, only friends and family who can offer time, ears and shoulders. My heart breaks for you babe. Knowing you and the strength that you carry is an inspiration. I can only pray that you are inspired again in time. Know that you are most certainly thought of and lifted high in people's prayers. Mary, Jeanna and JR, I am so very sorry to hear about Justin. I still think of him as that little blonde haired boy that helped JR aggrivate Jeanna and I throughout high school. My prayers are with you during this time. Nicole, we've never met, but I also offer my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your husband.

You have never met us but we have been praying for your dear son and hoping that the Lord would heal him. It appears that the Lord had other things in mind for him and he called him home.We are friends with your dear sister Bonnie Rhodes.
