1934 ˜ 2022

Jane L. Reid, who was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Boston, MA, to Mary Louise and Kenneth Lippincott, passed away Feb. 24, 2022, in Vancouver, WA, at age 87, as a result of pancreatic cancer.
Jane was an avid athlete growing up in Newton Center, MA, participating in many high school sports and later achieving All American status in field hockey while attending Bates College. Following graduation from Bates with a degree in geology, Jane married John Reid in 1957. They shared over 50 years together, living in Maine, Vermont, New York, and finally in Vancouver, WA. Jane and John enjoyed camping and traveled extensively. Jane was an avid artist who enjoyed various forms of painting.
Jane is survived by her two sons, Jonathan Reid (Sandy) of Sherwood, OR, and Peter Reid of Preston, WA; three grandchildren, David (Elizabeth), Peter (Lee), and Daniel (Cayce) Reid; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret. No service will be held.
