KEARNEY - Brian D. Policky, 48, of Kearney, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1966, in Columbus to Frank and Helen Gasper Policky. He grew up in Columbus, Cozad and Kearney. He received his education at Cozad High School and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Brian was married for 10 years to Sherri Smock Policky of Cozad and they had three sons together. He was self-employed as a computer programmer.
Brian loved his family more than life itself, and always placed them first. He shared his knowledge, love and passion of music and motorsports with his children and grandchildren. He was strong willed, intelligent, caring, compassionate, and more times than not, he was stubborn but only because he was never scared to fight for what he believed in. He always has and always will leave a lasting impression on those he met. Loved my many, forgotten by none.
He will be truly missed by the love of his life, Kimberly Bullock of 20 years. Brian is survived by his children, Austin and Nicole Johnson Policky, Logan Policky and girlfriend Arron Buchta, Tarren Policky, Tyler and Kortney Pfiefer Bullock, Trent Bullock, Dustin and Torey Bullock Walker and Cameron Bullock; parents, Frank and Helen Gasper Policky; brother, Adam and Dawn Policky; sister, Heather Policky Armbrust; mother- and father-in-law, Ron and Sandy Jobman; grandchildren, Avery and Koen Policky, Kaidence and Karson Walker and Natileigh and Maxwell Bullock; and extended family.
Memorials are suggested to the Policky Family Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
