Dennis Wachal Obituary
RICHLAND - Dennis Lester Wachal, 71, of Richland died Friday, May 25, 2007, at Birchwood Manor in North Bend.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler with the Rev. Gerald Leise officiating. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler. A rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the Schuyler Cemetery with military honors by Hespen-Mitchell Post 4836 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and McLeod Post #47 of the American Legion.
Memorials are suggested to Colfax County Senior Center. Lunch is provided by St. Mary's Social Hall.
Dennis was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Richland, Neb., to Edward and Albie(Jedlicka) Wachal. He graduated from Schuyler High School and served in the United States Army in 1957 and 1958. On March 11, 1959, he married Joan Herling in Clarkson. They lived and farmed near Richland. Dennis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler.
He is survived by his wife Joan and son Donald Wachal, both of Richland, one brother, Richard and his wife Colleen Wachal of Schuyler, sister-in-law Betty Wachal of Schuyler and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Wachal.
