Maria Cristina Menjivar, 32, of Schuyler, and her three sons: Julian, 10; Adrian, 8; Angel, 7; and (unborn) Baby Luna passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, as a result of an automobile accident near Fremont.
Memorials can be directed to the Menjivar Family at any area Pinnacle Bank location.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 with rosary at 7 p.m. at the church. Additional visitation will be held from 9 until 10 also at the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Svoboda Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
Maria was born Aug. 15, 1986, to Carlos Alberto and Rosa Edith Flores in Los Angeles. She graduated from Schuyler High School in 2004. Maria worked at Henningsen Food in David City as a safety coordinator.
She had three sons: Julian Menjivar, son of Francisco Moreno Martinez, born in 2008, was in the fifth grade at Schuyler Elementary School; Adrian Saldana, son of Leobardo Saldana, born in 2010, was a third grader at Schuyler Elementary School; and Angel Saldana, son of Leobardo Saldana, born in 2011, was a second grader at Schuyler Elementary School.
They are survived by: Maria's father, Carlos Alberto; Maria's mother, Rosa Flores; and stepfather Jose Antonio Ortega; sister Abigail Ortega; and brothers Joseph Ortega and Carlos Menjivar; Francisco Moreno Martinez; Leobardo Saldan; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins survive the family.
