Ruby Simmons Obituary
In 1955, Ruby married Joseph Richard Simmons at St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed watching her family and grandchildren grow and live their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Richard Simmons of Orland, CA; son, Michael Simmons of Adana, Turkey; daughter, Michele (Dean) Fumasi of Orland, CA; sister, Mary Cockrell of South Lake Tahoe; and grandchildren, Fallon Fumasi, Briley Fumasi and Theron Fumasi, all of Orland, CA.
A Rosary will be held Sunday, October 11, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, 825 A Street in Orland. Mass will be said Monday, October 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Orland. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery, Orland, CA. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Ruby...I will miss your sweet face! You will always be in my heart, i will truly miss your sense of humor. My sundays will never be the same. I hope that if there is a god and a heaven i hope that you are there with a cigarette in your hand and a nice cocktail in the other!
