Erika Seipel Obituary

Erika Seipel

Memphis, TN

Erika Seipel was born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 21, 1942. She passed in the early hours on December 5, 2016 after a brief stay at the Baptist- East Hospital.

Erika was the co-owner along with Mady Smythe of the restaurant she ran for almost 30 years in the downtown area appropriately called "ERIKA's". Her food was prepared fresh every single day. Her menu choices where appreciated by her patrons and her rolls where revered by all. She loved what she was doing and worked hard for the complimentary comments she received from her customers

She leaves behind a daughter, Sylvia Seipel Newport, a son-in -law William Newport and two grandsons she was so proud of, Justin and Stephen Newport as well as myself. I myself had 30 plus years of fellowship with her. I give anything to hear her say just one more time "Leave me alone" I will never forget her and will miss her tremendously for the rest of my time..

No funeral services will be held. She will be cremated as that was her wish along with her family.

Please remember her just one more time with fondness. She deserves that one last time. She will meet Mady who preceded her in short order, and they will undoubtedly go play the slots. ASAP.
