Larry Rowsey Obituary
Hernando, MS
Larry Gresham Rowsey, Sr. passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He was 75. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, his farm, riding his Kubota and spending time with his friends and family. A successful businessman, he was the owner of Rowsey Furniture Company and Rowsey Farms. Mr. Rowsey was very involved in the Baptist Church and loved to sing and listen to hymns. He adored his grandchild, Gracyn, whom he called "Tadpole", and enjoyed being a grandfather. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 noon Monday, December 26 at Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven.
The funeral service will be 12 noon Monday at Carriage Hills Baptist Church. A private family interment service will be at Parker Memorial Garden in Bruce, MS. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. Survivors include his wife Shirley Hayles Rowsey of Hernando, daughter Sherry Rowsey of Nantucket, MA, son Larry Gresham Rowsey, Jr. of Hernando, granddaughter Gracyn Rowsey of Olive Branch, sisters Jill Smith (Tom) of Heber Springs, AR and Vicki Roy of Harlingen, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gresham and Nell "Kay" Rowsey and a sister, Betty Rowsey.
He will be missed so much by his friends and family, but we are comforted by the fact that we will see him again. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Gideons.

Mr Larry you will be greatly missed by many... You was such a blessing to me and my children love you dearly . It was a great pleasure to be your home health nurse and friend . I know you was a man that truly loved the lord .. Until we met again
