JANET EILEEN DEDO

Manchester , NH - Janet Dedo, 79 of Concord, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Maple Leaf Nursing Home after a six year battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born on July 7, 1943, in Portsmouth, NH, a daughter of the late Clarence G. and Eileen K. (Abbott) Bundy. She was raised in New Hampshire, Arizona, and California.

She married Michael J. Curran in California and moved back to New Hampshire, where they had their children, Cathryn and Jeffrey. She later remarried to Cameron B. Sweezy and had their son, Cameron and adopted daughter, Melanie. They lived in Hooksett and Bow, NH. She later divorced and raised her children in Bow. She also cared for a foster son, Alan.

Janet co-owned a small business (Direct-o-Mail) in the 1970's. She then enrolled in the inaugural class of the nursing program at NHTI and became a Registered Nurse. She later achieved a Master of Science degree in Nursing. She had a successful nursing career in the fields of kidney dialysis and nursing home inspection and administration. She also served in the NH Army National Guard. Janet remarried to Robert J. Dedo and moved to Grantham, NH where they lived until his passing in 2000. She then moved to Concord, NH where she lived the rest of her life.

Janet is survived by her children, Cathryn R. Bundy, Jeffrey G. Sweezy and wife Pamela, Cameron B. Sweezy and wife Miriam, Melanie G. Sweezy and former foster son Alan D. Smith; grandchildren, Natasha, Patrick, Emily, Tyrell, Cameron and Haidy and great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Sophia, Oriana, Ava and Laith.

In addition to her parents and husbands Cameron and Bob, she was predeceased by her stepbrothers, Clarence G. Bundy, Jr. and Robert E. Bundy.
